KOVAR President Message

Lanny White , PGK

July 2008

Dear Brother Knights and ALL who visit the KOVAR Website,

Welcome to the Knights of Virginia helping God’s Special People (KOVAR) Website. We are a family fraternal organization. One of our cornerstones is to help non-profit organizations that assist persons with Intellectual Disabilities. The KOVAR Board was stood up in 1971 and to this date has given out $12 Million.

KOVAR has helped hundreds of organizations succeed in their missions to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals throughout Virginia. If you are a brother knight or a family member of a brother knight, please contact your councils KOVAR chairman to find out how you can assist. If you are a visitor to our website please contact your local council to help.

With your assistance KOVAR makes a difference each and every day. Remember that fundraising for KOVAR is a year round event, whether through second source events, the KOVAR April 16-19 Drive.

God Bless,

Lanny White

State Deputy Message

July 1, 2008

Dear Brother Knights and All Who Support KOVAR,

Welcome to the KOVAR website, which provides critical information on how you can make a difference in the lives of God’s Special Children. On this site, you’ll learn about the history of KOVAR, the grant and home loan processes, and how to run an effective KOVAR campaign.

Do not hesitate to reach out to Lanny White, the President of KOVAR, or any member of the Board of Directors if you have questions or want to offer assistance. Click Contact Us on the Home page to access the Director’s contact information.

My theme this year is Ad Gloriam Dei or “For the Glory of God”. I cannot think of a better example of God’s glory than the heartfelt appreciation and smiles of those whose lives we touch through KOVAR.

Ad Gloriam Dei

Kelly Mortensen,
State Deputy Knights of Columbus Virginia State Council
