GRANTS

Grant requests for financial assistance from qualifying organizations are reviewed by the KOVAR Board at its bimonthly meeting held on the first Saturday of February, April, June, August, October, and December. To be eligible for review a grant request must be received by the first of the month preceding a Board meeting. (Grants to be reviewed at the February meeting must be received by KOVAR prior to the first of January, etc.)

Maximum grant request cannot exceed $20,000.

These photos show a folding machine purchased by KOVAR to allow more employees to be trained and given jobs in Fredericksburg. Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, Inc employs over 89 individuals with intellectual disabilities. They were seeking assistance to train and employ even more folks, the KOVAR grant allowed them to do that.  Additionally, because they are more productive with the machine their hourly wage was increased.

Here are some examples of what KOVAR can do for God's Special People.
